Bergmans’ Cedar Creek Retreat, 39045 Sissebakwet Shores Road, Cohasset, MN


We will be gathering at Bergman’s Cedar Creek Retreat, which is Deb’s cozy home nestled in the quiet & serene woods of Northern MN and on the quaint & quiet South Sugar Lake.

Get a sense & feel inside the retreat space & sleeping quarters with this mini tour:


Please bring your own lunch.  (There is a frig and microwave at Deb’s home for you to freely use.)

Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided.


We will be outdoors in nature for portions of the day.  Therefore, please dress comfortably & casually for varying weather conditions.  Also, please bring a yoga mat and/or towel to lie down, blankets, pillow, meditation cushion, slippers, and anything else that may support you in feeling relaxed, comfortable, centered, and cozy.

PLACES TO STAY-If you are looking for an overnight retreat experience on Friday evening.

Lodging is on your own & at your own expense.  Book early, as summer is the busiest time in Northern MN.

Lodging Options:

  • Ruttger’s Sugar Lake Lodge-across the Lake from Bergman’s Cedar Creek Retreat (Deb’s house) –
  • Bergman’s Cedar Creek Retreat -(retreat location) – The beds at the Bergmans’ home are all in an apartment type space where all retreatants will share during the day. Because of the coziness of the space & respect for each other, we ask “lights out” be at 10:00.
    • 1 bedrooms with 1 queen bed; 1 bedroom with 1 full bed & 1 queen mattress in small, cozy loft area; & 1 bedroom downstairs with 1 queen murphy bed on main floor- Overnight retreatants share full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living room, screened-in porch, lake, & land. $50/person Reservation: Contact Deb at or 952.457.8557 to reserve 1 of 4 beds.  Beds will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
    • For the Hearty, Rustic, Adventurous, or Thrifty – You are welcome to camp on our 40 acres or deep into the woods on the 40,000 acres behind our house -OR- set up an air mattress in the garage. $25/personReservation: Contact Deb at or 952.457.8557 to reserve a rustic option.
  • Lodging in Grand Rapids, MN – There are several hotels in Grand Rapids, MN, which is a 15 minute drive to Bergman’s Cedar Creek Retreat.


Deb Hennen-Bergman, MA, LMFT: Integrative Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, MN Board Approved Supervisor, yoga/meditation instructor, & owner of Inner Peace Therapy & Yoga.  She is a life-long student of Western Psychology, systemic approaches, ancient wisdom teachings, & spirituality.  Also, since moving to Northern MN a few years ago, she has been deeply moved by the natural world & its profound teachings.

She is committed to living & serving from embodied wholeness and the quiet places inside.  She is devoted to providing services to the well-being of all to find inner peace & freedom in the midst of this intense & very messy human life.


Earn 8 Group Supervision Hours towards LMFT, LPC, and LPCC clinical licensure.

Certificates of Completion will be provided for healthcare professionals to submit to licensing boards for CEU’s.

12:00-1:00 Mindful Lunch at Bergman’s Cedar Creek Retreat (bring your own lunch)

1:00-2:00 Mindful Break -walk, swim, kayak, bike, sit, snack, connect, rest, nap, etc

2:00-4:00 Innate Silence & Stillness – Continued; Personal/Professional Consultation

4:00-4:30 Closing Circle

5:00 Good Bye
